I'll provide a few synopsis's for you, from simplest to most complicated. #1 Routed from sleepwalking problems, Rose Da Silva decides to take her daughter Sharon to the town she talks about in her sleep, Silent Hill, to face her nightmares, where Sharon goes missing and Rose must fight the power of the town to get her back. #2 A woman named Rose Da Silva goes in search for her troubled daughter, Sharon Da Silva within the confines of a strange, desolate town called "Silent Hill. " She is very concerned Sharon who has been experiencing severe nightmares and has begun sleepwalking. Their only clue to the girl's condition is her repetition of Silent Hill. Desperate for answers, Rose takes Sharon to the town of Silent Hill, despite Christopher's opposition. She reaches the town, but is knocked unconscious in a car crash, and awakens to find Sharon is missing. #3 After the continuous sleep walking episodes of Sharon, the young daughter of Rose Da Silva, the decision is made to take Sharon to the place only mentioned in her restless dreams- Silent Hill. However, the road to Silent Hill is anything but easy to access, and Rose creates a high speed chase between herself and a police officer only to end in a crash for them both. When she wakes up, Sharon has disappeared and Rose is at the entrance to the deserted, dream-like town of Silent Hill. As Rose begins the search for her daughter, she does not realize the terror and mystery surrounding her. Rose is led on a blind search for her beloved daughter, finding herself getting more and more entwined into disturbing past of Silent Hill. #4 Sharon is a little girl who sleepwalks and has seizures; lately they've been getting worse. She keeps mentioning the same thing in her trances: Silent Hill. Over the protests of her husband, Sharon's mother (Rose) flees with her child. She ends up driving and crashes. She wakes up in the eerie and deserted town of Silent Hill. Sharon is gone. It's soon clear the town is not like any place she's ever been. It's inhabited by a variety of creatures and a living darkness that descends and literally transforms everything it touches. The human inhabitants - the ones who are left - are trapped and fighting a losing battle against the Darkness. Joined by a cop named Cybil, who was pulled in with her, Rose searches for her little girl while learning the history of Silent Hill. #5 Rose cannot accept the medical diagnosis that her daughter, who suffers nightmarish trances in which she refers to the town of Silent Hill, is going insane. Over the protests of her husband, she flees with her child, Sharon, to Silent Hill seeking answers for her daughter's condition. It is revealed that the town had been evacuated thirty years earlier due to an unstoppable (and still burning) underground coal fire, and that Sharon was likely born there. A local motorcycle cop named Sybil ends up pursuing Rose and Sharon into the outskirts of the abandoned and cordoned off town on a rainy night, where they suffer simultaneous "wipe-outs " and black out. Rose awakens to find that everything is lit by an unearthly, luminous mist and that her daughter is gone from her SUV.
